From last place to the front row
After earning some world ranking points at the last World Cup in Les Gets and at the World Championships in Short Track, I qualified again for Short Track in Lenzerheide. As the last rider to be called up, I was able to make up a lot of positions from the halfway point onwards with my classic tactic of observing and waiting for the right moments. This is also visible in the race analysis which shows I had the fastest or second fastest lap times from lap 4 of the 12 laps. In the end, I finished in 8th place, which meant that for the first time this season, I secured a starting place in the front row for Sunday's cross-country race. I am extremely happy that, after a difficult day at the XCO World Championships, I was able to achieve such success in the XCC just five days later.
Thank you to my team and my coach for this great day!
